Safety Guidelines

We are excited to announce the reopening of The Railroad Historical Center after a long shutdown from the COVID-19 pandemic. For the safety of our visitors, volunteers, and staff, please see the guidelines below. Join us for the RRHC's 50th Season!

 

  • Visitors are encouraged to wear masks.

 

  • Visitors who arrive as a group may tour as a group.

 

  • Separate groups will not be combined. We ask for your patience if you have to wait for an available tour guide.

 

  • Hand Sanitizer is available in the Visitors Center

 

  • Restrooms are available in the Visitors Center and beside the Office Car 'CAROLINA'. Please wash your hands regularly and avoid touching your face.

Ranging from 25-90 minutes based on visitor request through the restored, climate controlled cars and locomotive!

1906 Baldwin No 19
Have a fully narrated tour of the engine and an explanation of how and where it operated.
P&N Interurban No 2102
Tour this historic 1914 interurban, the last of a fleet that served the upstate for more than 40 years. This car needs your help to be restored inside.
Seaboard Coach No 831
A classic coach with a Seaboard "Tropical Blue" touch, step back into the pages of history.
Erie Lackawanna Diner-Lounge No 746
"Dinner on the Diner, Nothing Could be Finer!" Take a walk back to the 1930s as you explore this vintage heavyweight and learn about eating on a train in the 1930s.
Pullman Sleeper "American Liberty"
Step back to the era of the Pullman Porter. This is a classic 6-6-4 Pullman with every type of sleeping accommodation.
P&N Business Car "Carolina"
The land-yacht, as exclusive as a private jet and luxurious as a yacht. This P&N business car was their only business car and it is beautifully restored with original furnishings.
